Piston Rings 3.0 V6 Milano and 164
Not all piston rings are created equal. Our experience has shown that some aftermarket rings have excessive wall pressure, which accelerates liner wear. We believe Hastings rings to be the finest available, exhibiting superior sealing properties without trashing liners. Hastings compression rings are chrome-plated to prevent binding in the ring groove and to decrease wall friction, and the three-piece oil ring uses a long-lasting stainless steel expander for even sealing.
On new piston sets, replace the original rings with Hastings for improved performance and longer life. With used liners, the Hastings rings will seal perfectly up to the maximum allowable taper of 0.10 mm when liners are properly honed.
