Remanufactured Performance Cylinder Head 2000 1971-81.
An internal combustion engine is essentially an air pump. The key to performance is maximizing the efficiency of that pump, and one of the best places to start is with a Centerline performance cylinder head. Each head is meticulously inspected for cracks and other damage. Those that pass are treated to our stainless steel oversize valves and all new valve seats, manganese-bronze valve guides, teflon seals on intake and exhaust guides, and our performance valve springs. A careful multi-angle valve job is performed to ensure peak airflow and performance, and each head is resurfaced for optimum head gasket sealing. Special attention is paid to cleaning and smoothing the “bowl “ area of the head, just above the valves, and the critical transition between the port and the combustion chamber. The result is 90% of the top-end power of a full port job, while retaining excellent streetability. Velocissima!
A $350.00 core deposit will be added to the price of each cylinder head, refundable upon the receipt of your rebuildable cylnder head. Heads machined more than 0.010” can not be accepted as cores. Stock head height (4-cylinder) is 4.41”. Cracked or damaged cylinder heads will have their core refund adjusted for cost of repair.
